Virtual and In-Person Services

Special Education Services

We offer highly specialized, evidence-based educational services designed to meet the needs of school aged children including homeschooling families.

Our interventions are tailored to each child’s individual strengths, interests, and needs along with those of their family because we realize that every child is unique. Each child will have a curriculum and treatment plan specifically designed for them that includes:

  • Effective instructional strategies

  • Play- and activity-based instruction

  • Developmentally appropriate practices

Services may be delivered in the home, community, classroom setting, or individual clinic setting. We are happy to collaborate and coordinate with your child’s school or school district in developing and implementing an individualized educational plan, reading intervention or dyslexia therapy goal for your child as well as standardized assessments, data collection, and progress monitoring.

For younger readers, we deliver services based on the blending the principles of Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education. All learners are provided with 1:1 individualized instruction by a Certified Special Educator and/or Structured Literacy Dyslexia Therapist (depending on the area of concern and need).

Math and English Language Arts Programs:

For older students, our Math and English Language Arts Programs are evidence based and designed to support students of all abilities. Learners receive instruction from experienced, highly qualified and certified instructors.

Early Reading Intervention Program, Early Literacy and Language Development, Dyslexia Therapy

Learning to read is one of the key elements of creating meaningful connections with the world around us. Reading is the foundation learning. For children with literacy challenges, it is critical to provide strategies and support designed to help them become successful readers and independent language learners.

LitNum’s Conections Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialists work with children and their families to facilitate and develop literacy, to stimulate their motivation to read and build lifelong reading skills. Our Structured Literacy Dyslexia Therapists at LitNum Connections are accredited by the International Dyslexia Association and certified by Lexercise.

After evaluating your child’s current reading skills through a formal assessment, clinical observation, and parent report, your therapist will develop a comprehensive therapy plan and provide direct support services that are based in play, multisensory Orton-Gillingham literacy activities, and parent-coaching strategies. The focus of therapy is on neurointegration of verbal and written language, and early reading comprehension, which includes being able to read, understand and use language.

Therapists may also use non-verbal strategies including cued speech, and electronic devices and apps to support overall literacy and language development.

Early Literacy and Language Therapy services (ages three-six) are provided in a variety of individual or group settings, including: Home visits; In-clinic appointments; Childcare.
